    Next Generation Volkswagen Caddy Spied Testing

    Our spies recently caught the next generation Volkswagen Caddy testing with what seems to be a revised front end, new tail lights and some interior changes. The next generation Caddy is expected to utilize a new, more fuel efficient power plant and transmission to comply with tighter regulations, which will likely be the largest change to the utility vehicle.

    A close look reveals a slight change in the A-pillar and a completely covered interior which hints at a new dashboard at the very least.

    We will continue to keep you updated on the new Caddy as more information surfaces.

    Upcoming Volkswagen Caddy Caught Testing

    Our spies have caught the new Volkswagen Caddy testing yet again, and this time were able to capture a few shots of the interior.

    We are still considering this a facelift, but Volkswagen will most likely consider this a new generation. In the photos, we can see that the headlights, gripe, bumper and hood have been all been updated, as have the brake lights. Under the hood, we expect to see new engines to be made available with improved fuel economy and lower emissions

    For the interior, a new dash is seen with squared air vents and new climate controls which appear to be mounted a bit higher can be seen.

    World Premiere of the Fourth Generation Volkswagen Caddy

    – Entry-level price reduced due to new versions

    Hannover/ Poznan, 04 February 2015: Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is showing the fourth generation of the hugely popular Caddy for the first time. Around 1.5 million of the award-winning previous generation were sold worldwide during its eleven years in production. A success that the new Caddy is intended to continue because the urban delivery van and its privately used brother have been enhanced and refined in every area.

    In Germany, prices for the new Caddy start at € 14,785.00 (net, panel van) and € 15,330.00 net (€ 18,242.70 gross, as Conceptline, replacing the previously familiar Startline), each with the 62 kW TSI entry-level engine and thus, when adjusted for feature content, are even below the level of the predecessor model.

    The drive systems use state-of-the-art technology, with the Caddy’s new engines providing maximum efficiency and compliance with the EU6 emissions standard. The basis for the four TDI diesel versions is always a two-litre four cylinder engine. Their performance ranges from 55 kW / 75 h.p. to the top engine with 110 kW / 150 h.p.. Recording the lowest fuel consumption is the Caddy panel van Blue Motion, specially developed for inner-city deliveries: “With its low fuel consumption of less than four litres per 100 kilometres, the new Caddy is setting a new standard,” explains Dr. Eckhard Scholz, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. He continues: “Even the new 1.4-litre TGI, successor to the highly popular Caddy EcoFuel, consumes only 4.1 kg of natural gas per 100 kilometres. Through downsizing and turbochargers, it offers added power compared with its predecessor while consuming up to 28 per cent less fuel. These performance figures benefit everyone – and are equally kind to the environment and the pocket.”

    In the case of petrol engines there is a choice of three. They range from the 1.2-litre four-cylinder TSI with 62 kW / 84 h.p. and the 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI with 75 KW / 102 h.p. up to the large 1.4-litre TSI four-cylinder with a power output of 92 KW / 125 h.p.. In the new Caddy numerous new safety and comfort features protect the occupants and support the driver. “To achieve this, we have incorporated a large number of driver assistance systems, which are unmatched in the urban delivery van segment”, said Hans-Joachim Rothenpieler, Member of the Board for Technical Development of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. One of these is the ‘Front Assist’ surroundings monitoring system, including City Emergency Braking: if the driver fails to see an obstacle below a speed of 30 km/h, the system automatically applies the brakes and, ideally, will prevent any collisions entirely. In the passenger car versions, for example, the new Caddy additionally comes fitted with side and curtain airbags.

    Approximately 22 per cent of all accidents involving injuries are collisions with more than one obstacle. In order to minimise the risk related to this scenario, the award-winning multi-collision brake system is included as standard in the new Caddy. After a collision, it automatically initiates braking if the driver is no longer able to take action.

    Other available options are the ‘Light Assist’ and ‘Driver Alert’ systems. The latter recognises any deviations from normal driving behaviour and recommends that the driver should take a break when apparently necessary. Also available is the option of a heated windscreen, which helps to ensure a permanently good view.

    In the case of the optional Adaptive Cruise Control, ACC for short, which is active at speeds of 0 to 160 km/h (DSG) or 30 to 160 km/h (manual transmission), a radar sensor monitors the distance and relative speed to vehicles in front. Used with the DSG, the ACC system can also slow the vehicle down, for example in queues or traffic jam situations, to a complete stop.

    In combination with the Composition Colour and Composition Media radios and with the Discover Media radio-navigation system, customers are able to order a reversing camera. The optional ‘Park Assist’ system enables automated parallel parking as well as parking at right-angles to the carriageway – an especially practical feature for courier services.

    Evolution of a best-seller: the new Caddy’s design not only impresses with sharpened folds and clearly defined surfaces with stylish clarity. The redesigned front and the distinctively presented rear additionally give the new compact van an unmistakable character – further distinguished by the new look of the front and rear lights. While remaining extremely functional, the high-quality urban delivery van has gained noticeably in presence, exclusivity and dynamism. In keeping with the expressive exterior, the vehicle’s interior also features accentuated lines and shapes. Striking decorative trims with integrated air vents and a new generation of infotainment equipment underline the new Caddy’s modern look.

    The new Caddy will be launched in Germany at the end of June, with all other countries following quickly thereafter. Dealers in Germany will be taking initial orders in March.

    Pri Volkswagnu pravijo, da je to četrta generacija Caddyja, a zdi se, da so zanj naredili le nekoliko bolj konkretno prenovo.

    V osnovi ostaja tak kot je bil, le da ima nove linije, sorodne z ostalimi brati. Spremenili so sprednji in zadnji del vozila (žarometi, luči, pokrov motorja, vrata prtljažnika), obenem pa so opazne tudi spremembe v notranjosti, kjer kraljuje nov volan, ročica menjalnika, novi in na otip prijetnejši materiali ter izboljšanji multimedijski sistem z osrednjim zaslonom na dotik.

    Motorno paleto sestavljajo litrski bencinski trivaljnik s 75 kW (102 KM), 1.2 TSI z 62 (84 KM), 1.4 TSI z 92 kW (125 KM), medtem ko dizelski motorji ostajajo enaki, le da imajo malenkostno povečano moč. Razpon moči dizelskih agregatov znaša med 55 kW in 110 kW. Po novem bo na voljo tudi bolj ekonomična izvedba Caddy panel van Blue Motion, s povprečno porabo 4,5 litra, prav tako ne bo manjkal niti plinski Caddy 1.4 TGI.

    Prva naročila bodo trgovci po Evropi začeli pobirati prihodnji mesec, prvi primerki pa k nam pripeljejo junija. Vstopna cena v Nemčiji bo 14.785 €.

    Sprednji del me ful spominja na novega passata, sploh luči na prvi sliki. Drugače pa nevem zakaj radio še vedno tračijo pod klimo, to me je takrat ko sem kupoval avto zmotilo že pri touranu.

    Drugače pa nevem zakaj radio še vedno tračijo pod klimo, to me je takrat ko sem kupoval avto zmotilo že pri touranu.

    Se strinjam. Radio bi moral biti vedno postavljen višje od klime, saj ga tudi bolj pogosto uporabljamo oz. so v njega večkrat (kot v klimo) usmerjene oči in če je prenizko postavljen, zna biti moteče pri vožnji.
    Drugače pa zelo čedn :thumbsup:

    Volkswagen Caddy IV

    Včeraj se je v bližini poljskega mesta Poznań (Poznanj), kjer stoji Volkswagnova tovarna lahkih gospodarskih vozil, odvijala prva predstavitev nove, že četrte generacije priljubljenega caddyja, Volkswagnovega lahkega dostavnega vozila, ki je v enajstih letih obstoja (2004-2015) privabil več kot 1,5 milijona kupcev.

    Čeprav pri nemškem proizvajalcu govorijo o povsem novi generaciji tega modela, je resnica nekoliko drugačna, ker je caddy četrte generacije v tehnološkem pogledu še vedno delno navezan na golf V, zato bi bil njegov opis, ki bi se skliceval samo na obsežno tehnološko in blago vizualno pomladitev morda bolj primeren kot pa sklicevanje na povsem nov model. To je vidno tudi v primeru oblikovanja, ki ga lahko označimo kot evolucijsko, ker novi caddy po izgledu ni bistveno drugačen od aktualnih primerkov tega modela, čeprav je tudi v tem primeru (podobno kot pri novemu fiatu doblò) vidno, da postajajo novi dostavniki čedalje bolj elegantni, ker želijo proizvajalci na ta način ‘ubiti vsaj tri muhe’ (model mora privabljati kupce lahkih dostavnih vozil ter kupce prostornih družinskih vozil, ob primerni stilski preobrazbi (crosscaddy) pa tudi kupce SUV avtomobilov…).

    Medtem ko je caddy v Nemčiji že dolgo pravi ‘Liebling der Heimwerker’ (ljubljenec obrtniške (rokodelske) populacije), mu zadana naloga glede privabljanja mlajših in večjih družin ne uspeva ravno najbolje, ker je žrtev ‘kanibalizma’ (veliko družinskih očetov se raje odloči za nakup modelov kot sta tiguan in touran) v lastnih vrstah, čeprav boste med lastniki caddyjev našli veliko zadovoljnih ljudi, ki jim je jasno, da je caddy v bistvu boljše in tudi precej bolj dostopno družinsko vozilo kot pri kupcih bolj cenjena tiguan in touran. To mnenje je včeraj podal tudi eden izmed mojih nemških novinarskih kolegov, ki je na predstavitvi ob sedenju v potniški kabini novega caddyja izustil tale stavek: »Schicker, bequemer, aber kein Touran« (bolj eleganten in bolj udoben, vendar ni touran), istočasno je pohvalil caddyjevo praktično naravnanost, ki je lepo vidna v primeru največje možne tovorne prostornine (3.030 litrov v primeru odstranjene druge sedežne vrste). V primeru ko se bo kupec odločil za nakup 4×4 različice modela caddy ali pa nove različice crosscaddyja, ki je sigurno že na risalnih deskah, bo dobil tudi avtomobil za delo, šport in prosti čas (SUV), ki po svoje ni dosti drugačen od spiritualnega predhodnika vseh podobnih evropskih izdelkov, ki ga poznamo kot matra (talbot)-simca rancho (1978-1984).

    Nemci so ob prenovi poskrbeli tudi za primerno osvežitev notranjosti potniške kabine, poleg tega bo lahko tudi novi caddy dobro založen s sodobnimi IT tehnologijami (Light Assist, Driver Alert, ACC City in Front Assist, ki vključuje tudi funkcijo Emergency Braking) in posodobljeno motorno paleto, ki bo v Nemčiji sestavljena iz treh bencinskih motorjev (1.2 TSI: 62 kW/84 KM, 1.0 TSI: 75 KW/102 PS in 1.4 TSI: 92 kW/125 KM) ter treh različic (55 kW/75 KM, 75 kW/102 KM in 103 kW/140 KM) že znanega 2,0 litrskega TDI motorja. Obstajala bo tudi BlueMotion varianta, ki naj bi lastniku ponujala povprečno dizelsko porabo (l/100km) pod štirimi litri. Dobro bo poskrbljeno tudi za ljubitelje vozil na zemeljski plin (CNG), ker so za njih pripravili različico s posodobljenim 1,4 litrskim TGI motorjem, ki naj bi ob premagovanju stotih kilometrov porabil samo 4,1 kilograma zemeljskega plina. Ob primerjavi s podobno motorizirano aktualno različico bo ta CNG caddy približno 28 odstotkov varčnejši pri ravnanju s pogonskim gorivom. Znane so tudi nemške prodajne cene, čeprav bodo kupci prišli do avtomobilov šele v letošnjem juniju. Za osnovno motoriziranega in osnovno opremljenega caddyja bodo Nemci zahtevali najmanj 14.785 evrov (tovarniška prodajna cena) do 18.242 evrov.

    IAA 2015: World Premiere of the Caddy Alltrack

    Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be premiering their Caddy Alltrack, the direct successor to the popular CrossCaddy at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, which kicks off next week. Offering the same contrasting flares and 4MOTION all wheel drive that we’ve come to expect from Alltrack models, the Caddy Alltrack will be available in both a consumer and the more traditional ‘panel’ version, aimed at business owners. Moving past the more aggressive bodywork, more familiar Volkswagen fans will notice the 17 inch Quito wheels, and Mojave Beige (same in name as the Mk4 offering, but appearing to be quite different) paint which help to separate the Alltrack from other Caddy models. Unfortunately for the majority of us, this model will not be available in the US or the UK.

    Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be showcasing the latest off-road style version of its best-selling Caddy at the IAA (International Automobile Show) in Frankfurt from 15 to 27 September. The successor to the Cross Caddy is called the Caddy Alltrack and like its predecessor, it is available both in passenger car and panel van formats. The latest version of the urban delivery van and family MPV is clearly distinct from the other Caddy models with its exclusive 17-inch ‘Quito’ alloy wheels, Mojave Beige metallic paintwork and optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive technology.

    The custom exterior features or the matt silver sill tread plates with the Alltrack logo signify the rugged version of latest fourth generation Caddy. Black trim panels on the wheel arches, black side sills and the lower edges of the bumpers give it a robust appearance. They form a contrast to the parts painted in the body colour, such as the bumpers, protective side strips and door handles, and emphasise the off-road look of the new Alltrack. The black designer underbody protection is set off by additional silver accents.

    Other visual highlights of the Caddy’s off-road brothers include some typical Alltrack features like the three chrome fins in a painted radiator grille, the silver exterior mirror housings from the passenger car version, H7 twin halogen front lights, fog lights, smoked tail light clusters, Alltrack logos on the front grille and at the rear, and silver roof rails.

    Inside the passenger car version, the Alltrack has its own special 7Summits seat covers plus folding tables on the front seatbacks. The seat covers in the panel van are made of tough Pillion fabric. Both vehicle variants feature a leather package (steering wheel, handbrake lever, gear lever boot) with Muscat-colour stitching. The passenger car has a variety of other attractive features, including adjustable centre armrest and a chrome package (rotary light switch, mirror adjustment / power window switches, and handbrake lever button), aluminium-look pedals, Alltrack floor mats with Muscat-colour stitching and Carbon Square Dark cockpit decor.

    The Caddy Alltrack also has plenty to offer beneath the surface. Based on the latest generation Caddy, it comes with many features and a number of different engine and gearbox combinations. The new Caddy Alltrack is also optionally available with 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

    Novi član družine alltrack – Volkswagen Caddy Alltrack

    Na frankfurtskem avtomobilskem salonu bo Volkswagen poleg novega tiguana predstavil tudi robustno različico modela caddy z oznako alltrack, ki bo nadaljevala pot modela cross caddy.

    Za avtomobile z oznako alltrack je značilna okrasna in zaščitna plastika, ki je bo imel veliko tudi caddy alltrack, bodisi v potniški bodisi v tovorni različici. Torej, okrasna plastika na blatnikih in stranskih pragovih, zaščita podvozja in tudi malo drugačna maska. Poleg tega bo imel še srebrni ohišji zunanjih vzvratnih ogledal in srebrne strešne letve, meglenke, zatemnjene zadnje luči in napisa alltrack spredaj in zadaj.

    V notranjosti se bo tovorna različica od potniške razlikovala po trpežnejših prevlekah sedežev, potniška različica pa bo imela še zložljivi mizi na naslonjalih sprednjih sedežev, nastavljiv sredinski naslon za roke in kromirane dodatke na različnih stikalih. Seveda bodo prisotne tudi aluminijaste stopalke in predpražniki z napisom alltrack. Oba modela bosta imela še usnjen volan in usnje okoli prestavne ročice, okrasna plastika pa bo v barvi muškatnega oreščka.

    Za pogon bodo skrbeli štirje dizelski agregati z močjo od 55 kW (75 KM) do 110 kW (150 KM) in trije bencinski motorji z močjo od 61 kW (84 KM) do 92 kW (125 KM). Ob slednjih bo na voljo še različica s pogonom na zemeljski plin z močjo 81 kW (110 KM). Na voljo bo tudi doplačljivi štirikolesni pogon 4Motion, vstopni tovorni model bo v Nemčiji na voljo za najmanj 19.617 EUR, potniški pa za 24.359 evrov. Oba modela bosta na voljo še pred koncem leta.

    Caddy Alltrack aprila v Sloveniji

    Caddy s kratko medosno razdaljo se je že pred tremi leti predstavil v z oznako Cross, zdaj pa se zgodba nadaljuje z modelom Alltrack, ki ima možnost štirikolesnega pogona.

    Caddy Alltrack bo v Sloveniji na voljo zgolj v potniški verziji. Med posebnosti v ponudbi opreme sodijo 17-palčna aluminijasta platišča, črne obrobe na kolesnih ohišjih in pragovih ter oblikovno dovršen ščitnik za podvozje. Notranjost modela Caddy Alltrack zaznamujejo uravnotežene ergonomske lastnosti ter številna mesta za odlaganje in shranjevanje. Upravljalni elementi za ogrevanje, prezračevanje in klimatsko napravo (serijsko za osebni Caddy Alltrack) so nameščeni na sredini armaturne plošče in so za voznika in sovoznika zlahka dosegljivi. Kot dodatna oprema je na voljo ogrevano vetrobransko steklo.

    Ponudba serijske opreme za Caddy Alltrack vključuje tudi najrazličnejše asistenčne in multimedijske sisteme. Tako ima novi model na primer brisalca vetrobranskega stekla z intervalnim delovanjem in senzorjem za dež, asistenco za speljevanje navkreber ali paket Luči in vidljivost. Slednji vključuje notranje ogledalo z avtomatskim zasenčenjem, funkcijo za avtomatski vklop luči, ki glede na svetlost razlikuje med zasenčenimi in dnevnimi lučmi, ter funkciji Leaving Home in Coming Home. Tudi sistem za nadzor prometa Front Assist, mestna funkcija zaviranja v sili in funkcija večnaletnega zaviranja so že serijski.

    Pogled na cenik pokaže, da bo Caddy Alltrack za Slovenijo na voljo le z 2.0 TDI motorjem v različnih izvedbah (55 kW, 75 kW, 90 kW in 110 kW). Pri menjalnikih so glede na izbrano izvedbo motorja na voljo 5- in 6-stopenjski ročni menjalnik ter 6- in 7-stopenjski menjalnik z dvojno sklopko. Kot dodatno opremo je poleg tega za novi Caddy Alltrack mogoče naročiti štirikolesni pogon 4Motion (samo za 2,0-litrski motor TDI z 90 kW in 110 kW).
